Whatever your beauty routine is, here are 5 simple tips to keeping your skin clear and prepped at all times. By sticking to these simple do’s and don’t’s, you will feel more in control of the way you look and the way you feel.

  1. Take your Makeup off and stay clear

For clearer skin, this is an important tip. Not only does leaving makeup on clog pores, but it causes dryness and skin dandruff. You should also remember to thoroughly remove eye makeup to avoid rash and germs around the eye area. Skin is the largest organ of the human body, so treat it by moisturizing and nurturing it. This includes moisturising your lip and keeping in mind when to scrub, exfoliate and moisturise.

  1. Always clean your makeup brushes

Applying makeup might be a very exciting process to wake up to, but the process will be even better when you clean your makeup brushes on a regular basis. The good news- you won’t have to clean them every time you use them, and wiping them in between washes certainly helps. Aim to do a full wet wash once a month but if you know you are more prone to break outs, wash more consistently. The benefits will be obvious almost right away.

  1. The healthier the food, the better you’ll look

That’s right! Eating healthy has more benefits than making you feel good. Your diet has a great effect on the way your skin looks and feels. Diets high in fats and carbohydrates cause more wrinkles, so turn to lean protein and always incorporate veggies to your meals.
