With every year come a set of new trends and alterations. This year we have seen a rise in microblading, a solution that provides a natural, fuller brow. 2017 has seen an absence of the previous too thick, too wide and too bold eyebrow, paving way for microblading to help us keep our eyebrows on ‘fleek’.

‘Brows on ‘fleek’

Eyebrows have certainly evolved and changed. From barely there in the 90’s to bold and thick in more recent years and chances are you’ve probably rocked more than one style in your lifetime. At the moment people seem to be loving a fuller yet very natural look on their brows. This has been aided by the abundance of online influences and Youtube videos on the application of makeup.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing that doesn’t involve any machinery and isn’t like the previous methods of tattooing eyebrows. Microblading involves the use of a manual, non-vibrating tool with a small blade. It leaves pigment under the skin to mimic the look of individual hairs. It does not go as deep as a regular tattoo. The tool itself is small, allowing more control to produce the thin hair- like strokes, leaving you with a perfect set of eyebrows. It looks very natural but it doesn’t last forever. The process only takes about 2 hours with follow up appointments made for every 4-6 weeks.
